Walking and Bird Watching

Walking:

The Malopolska region is an area of great charm and beauty; with medieval towns and castles. The Carpathian Montains are covered with lush vegetation. Carpathian beech and fir woods are found on the lower slopes whilst the upper slopes are dominated by spruce.
Alpine and native plants cover the numerous mountain glades.

In the Gorczanski Park there are seven marked trails with history and interesting areas explained along the way. These are amongst the 66 km of varied trails in the park.

Agriculture in the region is divided among 222,500 farms with an average of 3.2 Ha per farm. There are still several farms with horses working the land and the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides is quite low in the region.
